ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT:
Citygolfchampionship.net is pleased to announce its City Golf Championship event will be held on Saturday November 21, 2009 at the Westridge Golf Club, La Habra, California. This much anticipated event is open to all players with of varying degrees of skill. About the event:
ENTRY FEE
- Entry fee for golfers is $100.00
- Entry fee will include: Players gift bag, Discount coupons and lunch - Complimentary range balls during tournament day
7:00 AM Registration, & Pratcice,
8:00 AM Shotgun Start, Awards to proceed after round
Entry form must be accompanied with payment which must be cash or check.
AWARDS & PRIZES
Prize values will be based on the number of players in each flight. Prizes are paid in merchandise.
FLIGHTS
CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION FLIGHTS (NET)
Open to all entries received. Contestants will play in a (1) One 18-hole round. The tournament field will consist of 2 divisions. The divisions are further divided into flights of players with similar handicap indexes. The handicaps of each flight will depend on the number of entrants. Competing flight foursomes will be determined by a computer-assigned generated program. All amateur golfers with an established USGA Slope Handicap or equivalent 18-hole handicap are eligible
OPEN FLIGHT (GROSS) :Open to all entries received. Contestants will play in a (1) One 18-hole round. The individual score of those completing will be used to determine the top scores. Competing flight foursomes will be determined by a computer-assigned generated program. Participants must be 12 years of age or over. No index is required.
RULES:
Championship Division Flight A will play from the blue tees (Low Handicap)
Division Flight B will play from the white tees (High Handicap)
The USGA Rules of Golf will govern play. Local rules at each course will apply. The rules committee will resolve all disputes regarding any aspect of tournament play. The decisions of the Rules Committee are final.
DEADLINE DATE:
The deadline to enter will be 5 days prior to the first day of the tournament, or when the tournament is full, whichever comes first. We must have your entry in our office by this time. Past tournaments have filled, so please have your entry in on time.
Late entries will be accepted if the tournament is not full, or will be put on a waiting list if the tournament is full. To be accepted, all late entries will be subject to a $10 additional fee. Late entry payment must be with credit card, cashier's check, or cash only. No personal checks will be accepted with a late entry.
WITHDRAWAL/REFUND POLICY
If you withdraw 2 weeks prior to an event, you will receive a refund, minus a $10 service charge. If you withdraw less than 2 weeks before an event, you will receive a refund only if you are replaced, minus a $25 service charge. If you withdraw within 24 hours of the first round, do not show up for your tee time, are disqualified, or withdraw the day of the tournament, you will not receive a refund. Players may petition for a full refund, minus a $25 service charge, in case of sickness, injury, or family emergency. No refunds will be granted for injury or illness sustained at the course during the days of the tournament.
PAYMENT:
All entry fees may be paid by MasterCard, Visa, American Express ,cash, check, cashier's check, or money order. Credit Cards are the preferred method of payment. All Credit Card receipts will be sent with the pairing sheet.All returned checks will be turned over to a collection agency and you will be charged a $25 handling charge plus collection costs.
Entries may be FAXED with a credit card payment. You may pay for all entries at one time if you are entering more than one tournament.

CANCELLATION POLICY
No refunds or exchanges will be made if the tournament is canceled or shortened due to weather nature or act of God.
REGISTRATION Registration is available at the event website. www.citygolfchampionships.net and the Westridge Golf Shop. Deadline for entries is Monday October 12, 2009 or when the field is full.
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS
ELIGIBILITY:
If you have played on any tour as a "non-amateur/professional handicap golfer for cash", you are NOT eligible to play as an amateur in any this event. All males must male at birth and all females must be female at birth.The Tournament Committee reserves the right to deny entry to those whom it feels do not meet the criteria as set down within these policies.
The tournament directors reserve the right to adjust player’s handicap on any or all rounds based on a formula that will apply to all Net Flights. Players also have the option to declare themselves into a lower flight with the tournament director’s approval.
PRACTICE ROUNDS:
Practice rounds are NOT included in your tournament fee.
ESTABLISHED HANDICAPS : CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION FLIGHTS (NET)
This tournament require a valid one-year 18-hole USGA/State Golf Governing Body/ PUBLINX etc. handicap. If you do not have a handicap, but can play par golf, you may enter the open division. Acceptance is based upon approval by the Tournament Director.For handicap events participants must have a one-year established handicap. Participants will play to their lowest index for the previous 12 month period. Golfers wishing to participate with an established index of less than 1 year may enter only with permission from the Tournament Director. If you have a handicap from outside the area of the event, Please send a copy of your handicap sheet with your entry and the website where we may update your handicap before the tournament.Misrepresentation of ability level could result in disqualification, at the discretion of the Tournament Committee, with no refund.
The tournament directors reserve the right to adjust player’s handicap on any or all rounds based on a formula that will apply to all Net Flights. Players also have the option to declare themselves into a lower flight with the tournament director’s approval.
Maximum allowable handicap index for the Net Flights is 18.0
PAIRINGS: The pairings will be prepared and emailed approximately 3 days before the first day of the tournament. They will also be posted on our website on the day of emailing. If you do not receive your tee times by then, please contact the tournament office as soon as possible.
TOURNAMENT FORMATS AND TEE TIMES: At the discretion of the Tournament Director, all Tournament Formats and Tee Times are subject to change from what is printed and on the web, dependent upon amount of entries, availability of courses, weather, and any other unforeseen circumstances. In the event of any changes, you will be notified as soon as practically possible.
CONDITIONS OF THE COMPETITION:
1. A contestant is eligible to play in only one division.
2. USGA Rules will govern all play. Additionally, the Local Rules and Conditions of the Competition for 2009 shall apply and supplement the USGA Rules of Play.A copy of these rules will be available at each course prior to the start of the competition.
3. The Division Flight (Net) and Open Flight (Gross) will be contested over 18 holes.
4. A fully completed entry form and tournament entry fee are to be submitted by each contestant simultaneously for an entry to be considered official.
5. Practice rounds are available at the course subject to the course approved green fee rates and current reservation system requirements.
6. All golf rules issued by citygolfchampionship.net shall apply.
7. The practice area will open at course regular scheduled times on all tournament days.
8. It is recommended that all players wear appropriate golf attire in accordance with the local course dress code.
11. In the event the divisions and the fields are oversubscribed, the field in each division shall be determined by date entry received.
12. The citygolfchampionship.net shall have the right to amend the format as reasonable necessary and any and all of its decisions shall be final regarding the competitions, rules and other factors relating to the tournament proper.
*Ties for qualifying spots will be broken by a sudden death playoff upon conclusion of stroke play, except for the open flights, which shall be broken by the USGA method of matching cards.
Additionally, ties for seeding in each flight shall be broken by the USGA method of matching cards.

CART POLICY:
This applies to the tournament.

Maximum 2 carts per group.
There is not an event discount if player chooses to walk
Maximum of 2 people and 2 sets of clubs per cart. Spectator carts will not be allowed during tournaments. Any special spectator carts requested because of physical handicaps will be allowed only with the specific approval of the Tournament Director.

PLAYER’S GUESTS
Caddies do not require passes.Admission is free, so you will not need guest passes. Tell all of your friends and family in the area to come out and enjoy the tournament.
ACCOMMODATIONS / TRANSPORTATION
Participants are responsible for their own accommodations and all transportation.
MISCELLANEOUS
No metal spikes will be allowed. No handheld electronic devices ( range finders)
Players may wear shorts during the tournament. Players and caddies must wear collared shirts.
All players will receive by email their player information package 2 days before the event .Players must check in at the registration table on the day of the tournament
Misrepresentation of ability level could result in disqualification, at the discretion of citygolfchampionship.net with no refund
CADDY POLICY Caddies are allowed with the following restrictions: Caddies may ride in one of the two carts in lieu of the player they are caddying for, but may not take the place of another player (2 cart maximum). Caddies must not hold up play or challenge Rules Committee or Tournament Officials' directions. Caddies may not give a "playing lesson" during the tournament or hold up play in any manner. Caddies may be asked to leave by the Rules Committee or Tournament Director if a delay occurs due to their actions.
All Caddy’s and Spectators must sign a release of liability form to be allowed on golf course
DRESS CODE:
Proper golf attire is required. No short-shorts, tank tops, halter-tops, tee shirts or jeans.
SPECTATORS:
Spectators are permitted at the event. Spectators must not interfere with play or cause slow play in the group they are following or any other group on the course. Spectators may not talk with players or interfere with their play.
CONDUCT:
Unsportsmanlike conduct (i.e. swearing or club throwing) will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification from the tournament and/or future tournaments.
Cellular phones or pagers must be turned off during the event.
